THE MAN WHO MAGNIFIES THE BIBLE, GLORIFIES GOD AND HEALS THE PEOPLE 2015

This year 2015 is quite phenomenal in every bit of the word. It’s paradoxical to say how at last the years Conference held against all odds. It happens once a year and in every April. Yet sovereignly led by the Lord the Ministry in USA fixed this year’s event on the last week of April come first week of May.

There was a Big Bang from all direction militating against the meeting. America had predicted the disintegration of Nigeria into separate republics come 2015. Many arms dealers were briskly warming up for business in the horn of Africa. Boko Haram had been on ground aggravating the doomsday prophecy. The kidnap of Chibok girls made the seat of power in the country uncomfortable. The ruling party, the umbrella party PDP was fast tearing up. Election was at the corners. It was shifted from February to April. Why April?

Tension galore! The fever of election caved in, violence, yes! Election violence loomed in the air. Fear caused all churches to go on 100 days, 70days, 40 days fasting and prayer for Nigeria. Peace conferences, non-violent election memoranda were signed again and again. The international community interposed often, Nigeria in refusing to accept gay marriage angered the global fraternity. We were alone with God. The Berean Ministries International did not abandon us at this time. How happy we are to say it.

The very weekend in which Prof. Chinyere was to come in to Aba, Abia State, there were still some rerun elections going on in the state and Aba zones in particular. When flight schedules from Lagos to Owerri hampered his coming in to Aba on Sunday, we grew eagerly anxious but resorted to prayers. While in the way I learnt from telephone call that he was on the way relief came indeed.

At last the man of God is here with us. From Lagos, Rivers, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Akwa Ibom States, we converged in Aba, Abia State to eat the word of God cooked and served by Prof. Chinyere.

As faithful as the evening star, he was on stage before an overcrowded hall beyond capacity on Monday 27th April, 2015 for the Berean Ministry International Bible Conference at 68 Azikiwe Road, Aba. The mammoth crowd was scarcely restrained from a charismatic outburst of loud jubilation to a great frenzy. Up went the man of God as he was introduced and welcomed by Rev. Prince. The photos attached are living witnesses.

The testimonies began almost immediately from the first lines of his expository teaching. For the first time in 34 years of Christianity and Ministerial work did I learn from Prof. that Heb. 11:1 is about the characteristics of faith not its definition.

Before he came, the Ministry’s Gospel Equipment Controller had forewarned his wife saying, “you know that in few days Prof. Chinyere will come and it will not rain in Aba till he departs. I advise you to use the tank full of water judiciously as I will be busy with him and won’t have time to arrange for water men to bring you more water”. In the seven days of Profs. being in Aba it happened exactly that way.

This year’s meeting saw families coming in complete family lineups, father, mother, children from senior primary to college levels. The crave to hear from Berean Ministries was great. On the fourth day was another testimony. Two men refused to go home after the teaching on Thursday. They cried out having been wasting their time in false Christianity. It took great effort and with convictions from the equipment controller Bro. Sunday Nwogu to have them leave for home. They cried aloud for forgiveness and deliverance and thanked God for this man of God, they said.

As for me, another healing of the mind came as the man of God cleared the difficulty in the Book of Ecclesiastes. Stemming from Eccl. 8:14 he established that ‘enigma’ is the right word instead of ‘vanity’ ‘useless’, ‘futility’ etc by other translations. The Book then regained its place as an inspired Book as never before in my life.

This year’s message has indeed translated most of us into living heroes of faith. Normally, I had planned to leave on Sunday to my home town before joining the team in Ohafia. The teachings made me see that as arrogant behavior no matter what seeing my leader from far away US was still on ground. So I waited. We visited the Ngwa Road Motherless Babies Home on Sunday as the photos showed. We are thankful to God for the numerous gifts of cash to the helpless, less privileged, young widows, church workers. The bible material supports donated to the TCEM Bible College, Satellite Centres in Aba, Port Harcourt, Ohafia, and Bible College Students. Great Christian Literatures by Prof. Chinyere and other bibles given to the Conference attendants on the last days. We thank God and the Berean Church for such help. And a greater sacrifice is that they sent to us the service of this great man of God, a hero of faith to rescue us every year.

It was in Isuikwuato that on the second day being Tuesday I discovered that I had received healing of a persistent cough that had tormented me for long. That was enough to teach me obedience is better than sacrifice. Like the heroes of faith I had been willing to obey and now obeyed. Healing came in obedience not in prayers. I relaxed in all I did till the end.

In Ohafia, I and Rev. Egbe from Abam testified before Prof. the shocking mystery of his messages in Ohafia. In days gone by the place was quite an inhospitable environment manifest in the Nigeria – Biafra War. It remained ingrained even in the churches. But how God just put it into the hearts of his messenger to teach made the rather noisy congregation dumbfounded. The silence in the crowd justified our knowledge and findings. His Ministry is a timely intervention from God to save His church and prepare the Bible for the Lamb of God.

All other testimonies abound so much as we wish Prof. Chinyere will one day bring forth a New Translation of the Bible into English to march his exegetical exposition and for our maximum benefit. Join Us Each Sunday in Worship

Berean Bible Church believes in building a strong relationship with God and understanding His word. In order to understand the Word of God better, we offer Sunday and Wednesday services. Sunday service starts at 9:50 a.m. Our Wednesday services are split up by a prayer meeting and a Bible class. The prayer meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. which is followed shortly by the Bible class at 7.
