BEREAN CONFERENCE 2014 A BLESSED ONE

Berean Conference of 2014 was indeed a prophetic visitation upon the storms of Nigeria and Aba in particular. With the general theme of Christians Dare To Be Different every other subject matter of previous conference came to play.

Truly, no word of God is in isolation. Like a symbiotic relationship of human psychology are all bound with the perfect cord of unity. Nothing happens outside the sovereign plan of God. True worshippers are also manifest in their responses to suffering. Indeed suffering knows no bounds. The righteous and wicked are subject to it. Woe to anyone who occasions stumbling block to the little flock of Christ. So God cares after all about the suffering of the righteous.

To suffer for Christ and rejoice is both a promise an honour on our part as did the Apostles. Missing the teaching of Prof. Onwubiko is like missing the visits of the first century Apostles of the lamb. He lives in their world, worships their God and serves their Christ Jesus and brings Him back to us in the 21st Century. He is not in the social gospel that has bedeviled the 21st century that was the undoing of the 20th century. He is worth having as a Pastor. His example of humility and Christian decorum remains a marvel.

At this time, a church had made posters in my home state Ebonyi in Oso Edda, Afikpo South Local Government Area. I had to choose to go and preach there or go and listen to Prof. Chinyere Onwubiko again at the international conference. I choose the latter because of the manifold blessings and transformation that his expositions have on my life.

Surely, “…He that waters others must also be watered”. Prov.11:25 KJV. “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed”. NIV

Of note is one naughty problem of dissension that was fresh on ground by a leading worker of Berean International Ministries, Aba Chapter. We had never related the matter to Prof. The same Pastor doubles as Junior Pastor at Grace Doctrine Church. But when Prof. introduced the major theme of the year 2014 we were shocked. When on the third day, Wed. 23/04/2014 Prof. opened up the seal and veil covering Heb. 6:4-6 and consequent verses 7-10 on other days we were relieved. To discover apostasy amongst us was the effect the message had on us. Little did he know as a Prophet that he spoke to our situation. God really sent him to save the crisis rocking our boat.

All members in attendance were relieved. From River State, Abia, Ebonyi, Lagos. From Aba, Port Harcout, Ohafia Satellite Study Centres of TCEM we had it. God was speaking again through his messenger. We were cross examining our own selves also whether we are in the faith. Thank God for Prof. Chinyere.

We were completely set to consume any more writings of this Prophet of God. And the climax was the last day when at 4:00pm Nigerian Local Time the hall was full to capacity one hour earlier. As one of the photos shows that the number on the register at such time and it leaped beyond bounds to over 500 at the middle of the first section.

A special TEACHERS BIBLE by Roger E. Dickson was given out to about 50 workers and Pastors. Numerous cartons of Study Bibles or various degrees were given to the more than 450 others. Packs of other literature books of the Prof. were bound together and adjoined as gifts together with the Bibles. The discs of the 5 days conferences are still being given out freely till date.

Financial packages were given to all the workers and security men. Our feeding was free. To those of us who came from outside Aba even our accommodations.

I received a equivalent of 200 US dollars cash help. Widows were not left out.

The visit to Ngwa Road Motherless Babies Home was no less colourful. The picture shows the nurse collecting the money and later handing over the receipt to Prof. after he had signed the register. We are witnesses to these things.

We remain thankful to all the sponsors and members of the church of Berean International Ministries. Only God knows how to reward you all for investing so much in our eternal destiny.

Thanks to you all.

Yours sincerely

Peter Chima (Pastor)
